The sound quality is very good, with clear mids and highs, though you shouldn’t expect heavy bass. For most types of listening—music, podcasts, and calls—they perform really well. Battery life is more than adequate for above-average daily use. I rarely find myself needing to recharge them unexpectedly. I especially recommend these for indoor use, where they truly shine. They’re not ideal for outdoor environments with a lot of background noise, as the noise isolation is limited.

      I am replacing a pair of C30i earbuds with these C40i update. This model is so much better. The flexible arm makes it much more comfortable then the previous model.It has enought flexibility to make them not pinch my ear. Ive been wearing these for over 4 hours and i forget i have them on, they are that comfortable. The sound is clear and crisp. These are really amazing ear clips. I have hearing issues so finding open earbuds has been a game changer for me. They dont completely shut out 1 entire ear of hearing (I can only wear 1 at a time while working. It gives me clear hearable sound but I can also hear around me with the amount of sound not completely shut out of my ear. I would pay more for these. And if you are on the fence between there and the previous C30i model, BUY THESE!

      These are a great option for an open-ear design at this price point, the sound is very full and balanced, impressive bass and volume without becoming distorted, I rarely feel the need to turn them up too much even when in a noisy area.

      I LOVE the Soundcore app, that’s another aspect that really makes it feel like the product is punching above its weight. The app adds so many excellent options to adjust and customize the sound to your liking, is very responsive and quick to update the earbuds, and I’ve run into minimal bugs. The app is also excellent for their sleep earbuds and you can create customized relaxing sounds to upload to the onboard memory (not applicable to this open-ear model, but figured I’d mention it.)

      Small complaints would be the lack of wireless charging, which is not a huge deal but would have loved to see it to complement my wireless charging docks.

      Comfort is another slight issue, they feel a bit large and heavy on my small ears, I think these would fit medium-sized ears best, and may be too tight on large or thick ear shapes.

      They do include some additional small plastic sleeves to slide onto the earbuds to adjust the gap size to be a little smaller (and credit to them for including two sizes, I need different sizes for each ear), but if you have larger ears you’re mostly out of luck, as they will be stiff and probably feel pinchy.

      I wish they had done a similar design to the Bose Ultra Open buds which I find myself reaching for more often because of the comfort, but still plan to use the Soundcore buds in the summer when they’re more likely to be exposed to moisture and sweat since they have a better water resistance rating.
      Also concerned I’ll have to remove the plastic sizing sleeves if any moisture collects in there, and I also had one of them crack in half randomly while sitting in the charging case (no idea how that happened!) so I may have to contact the company to get some spares. Wish they sold those separately!

      As far as I can tell the battery life is very good, though I haven’t used them for a long enough stretch at a time to drain them, so I’m unsure if they live up to the advertised length of time.

      Overall these are definitely worth a try, I favor the Bose just slightly because of the comfort, but the Soundcore are a really solid pick if they fit you and are a very thoughtfully designed device.

      Purchased Soundcore c40i in Jan 2025. Within 6 months it keeps giving me headaches. Once it connects to phone it wont disconnect even when both earphones are put back into the case and closed. So the phone keeps sending voices to Soundcore earphones and won’t link to other Bluetooth devices. It’s very annoying when you get off work, restore the phone and get in your car trying to make a phone call from CarPlay or car Bluetooth. The earphone wont disconnect until your phone call goes thru and you cant hear the person you’re calling and they can’t hear you either then you realize you need to disconnect the earphone manually. Imagine this happens on daily basis. This is not only annoying but also killing the battery fast. Because it basically connects to your phone 24 hrs. Whenever you play music or videos you hear your music or video comes out of the earphone case. That’s right, the earphone still plays voices when they are both in the case.

      Maybe it’s because of the “always on“ connection, the ear phone goes bad fast too. The left side earphone cannot connect anymore after around 5-6 months. When I sent warranty request thru Soundcore app it gave me a hard time too. It keeps loading pic of receipt and never sent out. After weeks of trying the warranty claim finally sent. But I never heard from soundcore even the app told me they will get back with me within 24 hrs.

      Purchased Soundcore c40i in Jan 2025. Within 6 months it keeps giving me headaches. Once it connects to phone it wont disconnect even when both earphones are put back into the case and closed. So the phone keeps sending voices to Soundcore earphones and won’t link to other Bluetooth devices. It’s very annoying when you get off work, restore the phone and get in your car trying to make a phone call from CarPlay or car Bluetooth.       Excellent fit and feel. They don't fall off my ears when moving around a lot. Highly responsive (almost overly sensitive) button controls on the earbuds themselves. Because they do not "plug" the ear canal like non-clip-ons, the distance between the ear canal and the speakers makes it so there is little noise cancellation and the bass quality is reduced. I purchased these to exercise and work, so I need to be aware of my surroundings regardless. For the price point and type of earbuds these are, five stars.

      Outstanding view and manufacturing quality. Nice charging box. Physical buttons works better than sensor. I have B&O, AirPods Pro, Shokz all mentioned above sounds better but it much costlier . Mic quality is better than B&O and AirPods Pro. Overall user experience is great I can wear it and hear everything around like using Shokz but these are more comfortable to use at home. I would definitely recommend it to buy for the price less $50! It produces some pressure to my ears but I was able to get used to this. Sound quality is expected for the price. So don’t think, just buy ;) It is good for sport activities and relaxing at the beach. Bluetooth connection is stable and long ranged. It has application to setup effects and reassign buttons.
