Sleepydreamelf—or known simply as "Sleepy"—is the artist moniker of Karlie Korthuis, a 23-year-old artist based in Western Canada who has been drawing and painting professionally for over 8 years (and for her own enjoyment much longer). She delights in character design and loves any opportunity to bring her client's ideas and stories to life through her art.In the professional sphere, Sleepy's work has been used not only for character designs, but also as illustrations for children's chapter books and picture books, covers for literary journals, wedding portraits, wall murals, business logos, and more.Sleepy has a Bachelor of Arts Degree, specializing in English Literature. When creating for herself, Sleepy has a passion for illustrating scenes from well-loved films and books to bring a new spin on familiar stories.
