Housing & Construction

Construction & Housing Repairs

Helping Hands Construction Ministry
There are more than 13,000 families in Kansas City struggling to find affordable housing. Further, many of our non-profit neighbors also struggle to make facility improvements that would help them better serve our community.
The Helping Hands Construction Ministry is made up of volunteers that come together to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our city by assisting local non-profit organizations that are doing important humanitarian work every day with small construction repairs, allowing them to continue without structural obstacles.
Our Helping Hands Construction ministry is looking for volunteers of all skill levels and from all Resurrection locations. This ministry meets the first and third Saturdays of each month, primarily to assist local non-profits and to occasionally help church associated families. Email HelpingHands@cor.org to get put on their contact list or sign up for an upcoming Serve Saturday.
If you are in need of a small home repair, please complete a Care Request.

Serve with Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City

Habitat KC is taking a holistic approach to reducing poverty and improving equity in the Kansas City community. They are focused on affordable housing, because safe and stable homes free families and individuals from instability, stress, and fear — encouraging self-reliance and confidence.

You don’t have to be part of a group or team to volunteer. Anyone can join a construction project or at any of their five area ReStore locations. Signing up is easy. Simply choose the location, day, and volunteer opportunity in Kansas City that fits your schedule. All skill levels are needed!
