WORSHIP ALERT:

Sunday, February 8, our regular 5 pm worship service at Leawood will begin at 4 pm.

IMPORTANT:

Scheduled programming has resumed for Thursday, February 13 at all Resurrection locations.

Easter Egg-Venture

Spring is here, and we’re celebrating with our Easter Egg-Venture—a free, family-friendly event at your Resurrection location! On March 28 or 29, bring your basket and join us for egg hunts, creative crafts, and activities designed for the whole family to enjoy together. Invite your friends and neighbors to come along—no registration needed, just show up ready for some springtime fun. Leawood, Overland Park, Brookside, and Lee’s Summit host the festivities on March 28 from 10 am to noon, while West, Blue Springs, and Spring Hill celebrate from 2 to 4 pm. Liberty and Downtown locations will hold their Egg-Ventures right after Sunday morning worship on March 29. Want to help make this event special for families in our community? We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers, middle school age and older, to jump in and serve. It’s going to be a great day!

Bright Futures Volunteer Opportunity

We’re recruiting volunteers for an important initiative supporting foster youth transitioning to financial independence. On Saturday, April 11, in the Student Center, around 100 teens aging out of foster care will visit vendors, resources, and prospective employers, participate in breakout sessions, and come together for a budgeting workshop and lunch before meeting with a personal shopper to go to Walmart to spend $100. This event will be from 9 am to noon on-site, then move off-site for the shopping portion. This community-wide effort, supported by Resurrection Women’s Ministries, invites volunteers to guide Kansas and Missouri foster youth in developing critical financial skills. Your involvement equips these young adults with both financial knowledge and practical resources as they move toward independence—a major piece of our vision to close the opportunity gap for teens aging out of foster care.

Lenten Concerts

Every Wednesday through March 25, Resurrection Leawood’s midday concert series offers thirty minutes of music in the Leawood Sanctuary at 12:15 pm — a purposeful pause in the middle of your week to reflect and settle into the Lenten season. Each performance features talented musicians bringing thoughtfully curated music that speaks to the themes of this season. Each concert is available in person, via livestream, or on demand afterward, making it easy to fit into your schedule however the week unfolds. If you attend in person, a light lunch is available for purchase in the Building A cafe beginning at 11 am. For a full listing of upcoming Lenten concerts, click the button below.

Upcoming Immersion Trips

Join Pastor Robert Johnson for two powerful immersion trips that trace the sacred and sobering events shaping America’s journey toward justice. In March, explore Tulsa’s Greenwood District and the Osage Nation. In November, travel from Little Rock to Memphis, where ordinary people made extraordinary choices during the Civil Rights Movement. These aren’t tours—they’re pilgrimages designed to challenge and change us through guided reflection, prayer, and conversation, equipping us to love boldly and serve courageously today.

UPDATE: The Human Rights trip to Tulsa and the Osage Nation is now full.
