Turns out that I am out of the algorithm’s good graces these days and feel increasingly disconnected from the modest community I’ve cultivated online. I don’t want my communication constantly mediated by algorithms, so I’m pivoting to connecting with more intention. Now I’m here. And you’re here. We’re both in this third space together. And I’m glad for it 🌞

THE WHO

My name is Rachel and I am a self-taught, multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Montana. I am a creative dabbler, serial dilly dallier, and fledgling naturalist. My work explores and celebrates the animacy of the natural world and interspecies connection. I work in a variety of mediums including digital illustration, colored pencil, gouache, oil pastel, and clay. My illustrations have been published in academic books, utilized by environmental and social justice organizations, and distributed throughout the United States and Europe.
