VRSN will do this eventually (I believe) because it won't have a choice, given the rising threat of 'unstoppable domains'. May take time…
VRSN, will sooner or later allow outright purchasing of domains, TLDs and sub-domains etc.

Domains will get too expensive, especially once fractionalisation is mainstream. Then, the rise of usernames on marketplaces.
