Hello, I’m Damian, a pilot and creative sharing stories from the flight deck, everyday life and my creative journey. After 15 years in aviation, and now flying the Boeing 737 in South Africa, I’ve collected more lessons, questions and reflections than I have logbook entries. Combine that with 25 years of drawing and illustrating and you get Paperplane. This space is all about exploring what it means to chase a dream, navigate turbulence (in the air and in life) and stay curious along the way. You can expect honest stories about flying, creativity and the human side of both along with the actual aviation lessons I picked up during my studies. With six years of flight instructing experience behind me, I’ll be sharing training material, exercises and explanations to support you on your own path.
