My name is Daniel and in 2022 I founded Firefly as a solution to the frustrating modern dating app experience.Firefly’s foundation allows for better matches through the use of personality quizzes, match scores, and in-depth profiles. And we’ve made a commitment to listen to our users and never put features behind paywalls. We even have a <a href="https://datefirefly.com/progress-tracker" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Progress Tracker</a> where you can transparently see what’s being worked on by our team.Since the app’s creation, Firefly has had loyal supporters who give their ideas and cheer on our growth through our <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/DateFirefly/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Reddit </a>and <a href="https://discord.gg/vyu6AvKR8D" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Discord </a>communities (if you’re one of our early adopters, thank you!) In 2024, I found a few people as passionate as I am about the app and built a small team. Having help has allowed Firefly’s progress to accelerate and we’re excited to put money towards growing our user base.Currently, Firefly is completely free with no in-app purchases. This means that any money we’ve put towards advertising, hosting our servers, etc. has been paid out of pocket.
