- Regarding what to believe about God, either:
- I) there is a God worthy of worship
- i) there is no god worthy of worship [Atheism]
- if I, then
- I.I) we can know God's intentions for creation [Theism]
- I.i) we can't know God's intentions for creation [Deism]
- if I.I, then
- I.I.I) what's God is independent and free of shortcoming [Classical Theism]
- I.I.i) what's God is dependent [Paganism]
- if I.I.I, then
- I.I.I.I) what's worship is directed at God Who is more than one being/person [Polytheism]
- I.I.I.i) what's worship is directed at God a singular object/person/being [Monotheism]
- if I.I.I.I, then
- I.I.I.I.I) one or each of what is God can create something against the will of the others,
- I.I.I.I.i) each of the multiples can not create something against the will of the others, [none is God]
- thus the multiples are unable to disagree with each other, and none of them is God;
- each of them depends on the approval of the rest when actualising/creating anything —
- and what depends on others cannot be God {from I.I.I}.
- if I.I.I.I.I, then
- I.I.I.I.I.i) One can create something against the will of the others, thus the others are not God; [Henotheism]
- their inability to actualise their will is proof that they are weaker than the One who can,
- and that which is weak cannot be God {from I.I.I}.
- I.I.I.I.I.ii) the multiples are unable to disagree with each other, thus none of them is God; [none is God]
- each of them depends on the approval of the rest when actualising/creating anything —
- and what depends on others cannot be God {from I.I.I}.
- therefore, the possible impressions of God to be left with are:
- 1) Denying God [Atheism]
- 2) Affirming God but denying we can know God's intentions for creation [Deism]
- 3) Affirming some form of Theism [Paganism or Classical Theism]
- 4) Affirming Monotheism [Monotheism]
- 5) Denying Monotheism and affirming some form of Polytheism (multiplicity in worship), [Polytheism or Henotheism]
- which seems to logically entail either that none is God, or that there cannot be more than One God
