A New National Data Resource for the Fire Service

On December 9, 2025, the National Emergency Response Information System (NERIS) released NERIS Public: Fire Departments, a live geospatial dataset containing daily updated information on nearly 30,000 local fire departments across the United States. This is the first dataset available under the new [NERIS Public] banner, which will expand with additional public data services in 2026.
