my name is katarina, born and raised in california, and i moved to south dakota in 2019. i was fortunate to have a happy and loving childhood, filled with warmth, laughter, and support. but since turning 20, life brought its share of hardships, challenges, and moments of trauma that tested me in ways i never expected. after navigating those difficult years, i made the conscious choice to step into a healthier chapter of my life. i named this space my healthy chapter because it feels personal a reflection of the mental, emotional, and physical growth i’m committed to.in 2022, i met the man who changed everything for me. my fiancé, my best friend, and my biggest supporter. he inspires me every day to keep growing and to become the best version of myself, and together we’re building a life filled with encouragement, laughter, and love. i’m an introvert at heart, but i have moments of being extroverted when i’m around people i’m comfortable with. i love animals, especially cats (though i adore dogs, too) and my favorite color is purple. i enjoy being outdoors, spending time in nature, and making memories.music is one of my greatest forms of therapy, and as a die-hard paramore fan, it’s always been an anchor for me through tough times. i also love to laugh; truly, at just about everything because i believe humor is one of the best ways to heal. this chapter of my life is about balance, growth, love, and creating a future that feels authentic, peaceful, and full of the things that bring me happiness.

my goals are to focus on healing, stay consistent with my weight loss journey, and create a healthier lifestyle that lasts. i want to build better habits, grow stronger mentally and physically, and become the best version of myself. more than anything, i want this to be a positive chapter where i learn to love myself and enjoy the process.
why i choose to workout at home
i choose to work out at home because it gives me freedom, consistency, and comfort without the barriers that come with going to a gym. at home, i can exercise on my own schedule without worrying about crowds, commute time, or waiting for equipment. it saves me money in the long run, and i can create a space that feels motivating and personal, tailored to my own pace and goals. most importantly, working out at home removes the intimidation or pressure of being surrounded by others, allowing me to fully focus on myself and my progress. it makes fitness a sustainable lifestyle choice instead of just a routine i feel forced into.
what i'm doing to lose weight:
🌱 consuming a balanced 1600-calorie limit – staying on track with mindful eating, choosing nutritious, satisfying meals to fuel my journey.💧 hydrating like a boss – drinking plenty of water, cutting out sodas, sugary drinks, tea, and coffee. just pure hydration to keep my body at its best.👟 at least 2 miles every day.– it’s a simple, sustainable way for me to stay active, clear my mind, and make steady progress toward my goals.🛀 resting with purpose – taking two rest days to give my body the recovery it needs. balance is key!
