About BOSS
The Business of Sports Summit, launched in 2024 through the Eli Broad College of Business, is an annual event designed to empower Michigan State University students pursuing careers in the sports or entertainment industry. This premier summit serves as a dynamic platform for students to connect with industry leaders, gain valuable insights, and draw inspiration from top professionals in sports management, marketing, media, and more. Attendees have the opportunity to engage in networking sessions, panel discussions, and workshops, all tailored to equip the next generation of sports or entertainment business professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary for success.
As a cornerstone of Michigan State’s sports business efforts, the Business of Sports Summit was recognized for its outstanding impact, winning the prestigious “Initiative of the Year” award at the 2024 Broad Business Gala. The summit continues to foster collaboration, innovation, and excellence, providing students with unique opportunities to engage with and contribute to the ever-evolving sports industry.

As the Business of Sports Summit (BOSS) continues to grow and evolve each year, we’re excited to announce new developments aimed at enhancing the experience for our students. One major update for the upcoming summit is the introduction of early bird registration exclusively for FLISE members.
This special opportunity allows FLISE members to secure their spot at a discounted rate several weeks before registration opens to the general student body.
