We are thrilled to have you here! At MLK, our Student Government is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive school community where every student’s voice matters. Our mission is to represent your
interests, advocate for positive changes, and enhance the overall student experience.
This website was created fully by a Student and official President of MLK Middle School: by: Justin Wu Chen!

We did it! Justin Chen has created the first-ever Student Government website for MLK Middle School in San Francisco, making it the first of its kind in the San Francisco Unified School District! While high schools often have dedicated websites for their student governments, middle schools typically rely on staff-managed pages. The new government website will be posted on our MLK San Francisco Unified School District Website. Thanks

The MLKSGOV site is a student government site for the SGOV of MLK Middle School. It is an open space where students can access information about ongoing SGOV projects, school events, and important news. The website offers a space for students to be involved in school governance, view announcements, provide ideas, and share experiences, providing an immediate connection between SGOV and the students.
The website was created by Justin Chen, who is the current MLK SGOV President. He is also the first-ever middle school student to make an official SGOV website for a middle school. This achievement is proof of his commitment to transparency and student government interest, providing a valuable resource for MLK's students.
SGOV leaders plan and host school events, represent student interests, work with administration to address student concerns, and oversee various school initiatives. They also engage students in activities and help make the school a welcoming place for everyone.
The main roles in SGOV typically include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and other specialized positions.

The MLK Government Website will feature a section for complaints and concerns. A separate section for Williams Complaints, addressing issues with resources or facilities, will be available on the SFUSD website or at the bottom of the MLK SFUSD page.
