10 Years Together & 1 Year Adoptiversary! This month marks the 10th anniversary of Sheldon and me being together! We celebrated by going to The Thieves Guild Cidery , a tavern-nerd-adjacent bar, and we loved it! They didn't have food, so we went over to a dive bar called Duffy's for some very delicious sandwiches! I'm not much of a dive-bar scene person, but if the food is good, I can't complain. Sheldon got me flowers for our anniversary and for Valentines day. I got him beef jerky flowers, and he got me an edible arrangement.  The end of this month also marks the first anniversary of us adopting Juno! He's become a much more cuddly and social dog since we took him in. I'm glad to see him happy with us. He's very loving and protective of me. He sometimes cuddles me to sleep, but every morning, he curls up next to me, which makes it hard to get out of bed for the day. On one of our walks, as we passed by a little dog that wanted Juno to say hi to it a...

New Year Same Shit This year has started off extremely rough. We decided to pause our Italy trip. For now, our money is saved in a Money Market account, but between the Olympics and the U.S. making enemies with foreign countries, we feel that it's not the best time to travel at the moment. Not only that, but we got scammed on our passports because we thought we could apply for them online. I was able to get a refund at least. For now, this gives me a chance to look into petitioning to get a middle name , and from there, I can take that, along with our marriage certificate, and get all of that changed over.  I also got rejected form The University of Utah for this fall. They told me to apply again, but it does feel a little defeating. What is meant to be will be, and I have to remind myself of that when times get a little rough and out of my control.  Adventures! Birthdays, Dream Scapes and Libraries: One of my nieces had her 17th birthday this month, and to help celebr...

Blessed Yuletide Yuletide celebrates the Winter Solstice, which marks the shortest day and longest night of the year. (Which also happens to be my birthday!). This holiday celebrates the rebirth of the sun, focusing on light, nature's cycles, feasting, and community.  Typically, celebrations include bonfires, decorating with evergreens, holly, and mistletoe, burning a Yule Log, sharing food, telling stories, and honoring ancestral ways that extend for 12 days from the solstice. To spoil Juno, we got him a dog-themed advent calendar that he loves! Each day, either a delicious seasonal-themed toy or treat! It was well worth it!  Adventures!        I went through a drive-through for the third time in my life, and I did so well that I tried it a few more times! There's a little coffee shop called Raw Bean Coffee , located  next to the Smiths, where I pick up my  groceries. I usually have Juno with me on my Sunday morning drives. Hardly anyone is on th...
