July 20 2025: new security feature in the rawrPhone 17

An anthro dragon looks down at their bright-colored phone. The phone’s wallpaper is a tiny blepping dragon, and it shows the time which is 12:43. The phone screen blurs and the text “Mlem ID” shows up. The dragon then licks the phone screen, which causes the phone to unlock to the home screen, which contains apps such as “Explorer”, “Snuggles”, “Maps”, “DergyPics”, “Settings”, and “Phone”.After announcing my hibernation in 2025, I stated that I would upload one last animation, on social media and on here, before hibernating. This is that animation.
After the 3D Melvian project, I have begun to enjoy 2D animating less and less. This project continued that trend (“human” is the only other animation made post-3D). This might even be the last 2D animation I ever make.
The project was primarily roughed out in Krita, cleaned up and colored in OpenToonz, and extensively edited in Blender. The UI animations particularly were done in Blender’s editor. The grid of apps were designed ahead of time in Affinity Designer v2.
