Making Waves Film Festival – Portsmouth’s Film Festival
Our mission is to become the south central’s premier film festival, to extend the cinema experience beyond the expected and to celebrate and develop innovative filmmaking to inspire audiences.
Our supporters include No.6 Cinema, Guildhall Trust, Solent University, Winchester University, Portsmouth University, Film Hub Southwest, BFI Film Audience Network, and Portsmouth Creates.
Our community partners are Motiv8, Action Asylum, Portsmouth City of Sanctuary and Gosport Community Cinema.
The MWFF Community Curated Live Cinema project is funded by BFI Film Audience Network via Film Hub South West and delivered in collaboration with with Southampton Solent University and University of Portsmouth.
