We're MOVING! This month has been focused on the transition of our home. Projects have been set to the side for the most part and my husband and I have been binging documentaries in our free time. We got to attend a Black History Month author series in Madison, IN, that featured my sister, Zayla Jackson, author of the Reya's Adventures in Toyland series.

I have been studying photographer greats in order to present Gordon Parks to my son's 1st grade class for Black History Month.

February '25

This month began moving right along into creativities. I started planning zine ideas after being inspired by a few youtube videos. I began an zine about being a Columbus native and it is coming along fine!

The Bible study log (mentioned last month) is ready for testing. I have received the hard copy proof and shown it to a few close people and they were excited and I am as well.

DaMarcus has finished our Christmas gift for our family which ended up being a small charcuterie board engraved with the family names. We are delivering them this month.

Marketing for Red state vintage has felt a bit wayside but it is still up and running in our Etsy!

I have looking for a way to define my voice in Columbus and thinking about future collaborations that will align with my mission.

My Work

My husband, DaMarcus and I have officially made headway in a few new ventures. We have backgrounds in entrepreneurship and marketing yet now, after gaining wisdom from past experiences, we feel confident to unveil a few new projects.

Firstly, I am in the process of publishing a bible study study log that is about 75% complete and should be ready for testing by next month.

DaMarcus has been getting comfortable with a hand saw and he has made his first product available for sell in our Etsy!
+
We have a brand called Red State Vintage which will be debuting a small vintage trucker hat drop on 12/12/14 via Etsy
+ 
Lastly, we plan to launch an intermittent podcast called "Taste & Discernment" which will follow us on our in-car road trip conversations. We hope to launch in early 2025.
