Compound movements DO have a very useful place in a hypertrophy-based training program. But will likely leave some muscles under-stimulated (which will depend on body proportions, exercise selection etc.) Isolation movements SHOULDN’T make up the entirety of your training program as it is inefficient in terms of time/volume and leaves neurological factors neglected.
