We have had a brilliant vacation at The Payogan. There is not a single fault with their service and facilities - amazing room, pool, restaurant, spa, the list goes on. They even offer an efficient shuttle service to Ubud town centre. The ambience is so serene. All the staff have been incredibly attentive and accommodating. Juli in particular has been delightful, she is so efficient, kind and knowledgeable. We will happily come back in the future.

I stayed at the property for two days. The location and villa are quite good, but the service needs significant improvement. One morning, I woke up at 5 AM and called the reception to request a bottle of water as I needed to take a pill. I was told that I had already used the two complimentary bottles and would need to pay for any additional ones. I agreed without any issue. However, shortly after, they called back and informed me that the kitchen was closed and they wouldn’t be able to provide water until 7 AM. I found this quite disappointing. Providing basic necessities like water should not be an issue at any time of the day. Waiting for three hours just for a bottle of water is unacceptable. The management really needs to work on improving their service standards to match the otherwise pleasant stay.
