We appreciate your interest in volunteering with Safe Space Chico and becoming a part of our growing community to keep our neighbors safe. Safe Space Winter Shelter provides a warm place to sleep and eat during the coldest winter months in Chico. Last season we provided over 3,000 services to almost 200 of our most vulnerable, unhoused neighbors in the community. After sign-up you will recieve an email with further directions. Please see meal provider notes below: The number of meals needed changes based on the capacity of each shelter.We recommend signing up as a group of volunteers for dinner. Breakfast Snacks should be dropped-off on the date/time correlated with your sign-up.Dinner providers are asked to bring food to church listed and serve meals with the help of staff and evening shelter volunteers.
