Studio Ruwedata is the practice of Rotterdam based artist Thijs Kelder. Once started in graphic design and illustration, Thijs’ artistic activities focus on applied three-dimensional art installations. His style is characterized by a clear signature and references to pop-art, iconography and vintage advertising. The fringes of life are a common thread throughout the work, brought to the viewer with a healthy, sometimes dark, sense of humour.
