LBB Uprising: Pop-Culture Ins and Outs with Andrea Nzeribe
It was a pleasure to be approached by LBB to talk about my journey into the industry so far🙌🏾 I spoke about making an impact beyond sales, want for not just diversity but equity to shine through agency work & staff forces + going outside to be a part of what you’re passionate about✨ Love that this has come out around my 2 year anniversary at R&CPMK 💐 Thank you Zoe Antonio for the write-up! #entertainmentindustry #partnerships #culture #agencywork

He’s got one of the hottest Afrobeats songs out right now, and a lot more up his sleeve. I sat down with hit producer, artist and viral sensation Pheelz to talk about his 10+ year “overnight success”, the most important element in his music and next steps.Pheelz’s music, whether he’s produced it or been the main artist, connects with so many people so directly, I had to find out about his entry into music and the kind of experiences that formed his musical foundation. Were you brought up with mu

Black British Music Dissertation
I was going to wait until the end of the month and do a whole “2 years ago” speech, but I’ve finally gained access to my dissertation and I’m super eager to share it! When I got my results back I was quite disappointed, however, the topic of Black Music is something I love dearly and I know how much work I put into this. At the time, I didn’t really see academic work on the topic so thought it could be a great piece for other people and students to gain inspiration. I haven’t made any edits or even read it since then😅 but may or may not update and re-share it at some point. Here it is: “Auntie Put Rice in the Container” Traditional Sounds in Afroswing: A review of West African influences in Black British Popular Music of the 2010s by Andrea Ik-Nzeribe ⭐️ #music #share #research | 10 comments on LinkedIn

I feel like it wouldn’t be fair to go through the whole of #AnimatedApril ignoring animation in music. For decades music videos have played in the animated space and incorporated film-grade methods to create mini music movies. Here’s 5 (and a bonus video because I couldn’t help myself) animated music videos for you to check out.John Redcorn - SiRThis song alone invokes daydreams of a lonely character that wears his heart on his sleeve and never quite got that same love back. With John Redcorn be

Edna Deluxe - Headie One Review📝
Last year Headie One dropped his debut studio album EDNA. The chart-topping project, named after his late mother boasted features from both US and UK talents as Headie explored the progress he was making as an artist as well as in his personal life.Months after EDNA’s initial release, he’s back with a deluxe edition packed with hits that were in the initial drop such as the infectious Princess Cuts (feat. Young T & Bugsey) and Ain't It Different (feat. Stormzy & AJ Tracey). Leading the bonus tra

Her latest single has caught the attention of multiple radio stations and has been slotted into lo-fi playlists across streaming platforms. Despite being unable to perform this past year, Deyah’s sound is continuing to grow and reach new audiences day by day. I jumped on a call with artist, producer, and Welsh Music Prize award-winner Deyah to chat about faith, her musical purpose, and releasing music during lockdown.Releasing new music these days is quite different, everything’s done virtually,

Dancehall as a genre and the culture that comes with it has been celebrated in the UK for decades now; being fused with neighbouring genres the sound continues to expand. One artist that blends the dancehall genre with fresh sounds is Alicai Harley. I caught up with her ahead of the release for her new EP to talk about inspiration, open mics, and a new era on the horizon. On the occasions I’ve seen Alicai on stage or in passing her energy has been bright & contagious. Not long before the release of his new EP, A Friendly Introduction to Saund, I sat down with Lagos producer and artist Cracker Mallo to talk about his “Saund”, journey into music, and collaborations. Over the past couple of years Mallo’s flavoursome beats have been graced by the likes of Mayorkun, Fireboy DML & Tiwa Savage. Now he’s ready to introduce the world to his sound and position himself as an independent artist. As the project title, I felt it was important to understand what Saund actua
