About Me
Hi, I’m Umar, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
I work with individuals who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck, confused, or disconnected from themselves or their lives.
I believe therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental. My role is not to label or “fix” you, but to help you understand your experiences and patterns with clarity and compassion.
My work draws from CBT, existential, and experiential approaches, and may be short-term or long-term depending on your needs. I pay attention to how relationships, life experiences, and social contexts shape distress.
I am mindful of the role of identity, gender, culture, religion, and socio-economic background in mental health.
I completed my M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from NIMHANS and am registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). I also teach in psychology training programmes.
If you’re looking for a space to slow down, reflect, and work through what’s been weighing on you, this can be a place to begin.
