Thank you for joining this group! This group will be a hybrid. The group will meet on Mondays from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. We will meet in person once a month at pear Maternal Mind & Body in Virginia Beach. This group is a free psychotherapy group for moms who are struggling with negative body image. Weight gain and body changes are typical parts of motherhood. Many mothers struggle with the physical and psychological challenges that result from their changing bodies. In this group, clients will normalize those challenges and learn to celebrate their bodies. In this group, we will refrain from discussing specific numbers, such as weight or calorie intake. Erin Coogan will run this group. She is a clinical social work intern at VCU. Jessica Hughes is her supervisor.
