Hello Native SOAR family, friends, and colleagues: You are invited to attend our 2026 Spring Semester Welcome Back Celebration and Farewell to our Outreach Specialist, Kayleigh! Join us on Friday, January 23rd from 11:30am-1:30pm at the Main Library, room 112 (basement level), located at 1510 E University Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85721. We're kicking off a brand-new semester and a fresh chapter for Kayleigh with a celebration you won't want to miss! Delicious food will be provided from 12-1pm. Sunnyside school district is officially partnering with the University of Arizona to help center the needs of Indigenous students and provide them with the knowledge and support to pursue a college education. The UA’s Native Student Outreach, Access and Resiliency, SOAR, program started in 2005 and teaches students the skills they need to confidently pursue higher education. The mentorship program walks students step-by-step through applying for colleges, scholarships and financial aid.
