508 West turns piece of Spokane medical history, defunct parking garage into upscale housing
The project, costing more than $20 million, is part of a "kid's dream" for developer Nick Brumback. The work involved turning a non-operational parking garage powered by an elevator, built into the 1960s, into loft housing overlooking downtown and Edwidge Wolson Park. The apartments will be available in a building many Spokanites traveled to when receiving medical care or picking up prescriptions from 1964 onward.
