We went to celebrate my father who came from a town nearby. I had heard that Kalma was amazing and we were not disappointed. Honestly we had the best meal I’ve ever had, having travelled from London to New York, from Istanbul to Byron Bay. Kalma offered an authentic experience, most wonderful food, gorgeous local wine and perfect service. It the host and his colleagues offered an out of this world experience for a fraction of the price it should be sold at.
I have already recommended to my friends and family. Thank you Kalma. See you again soon

The place is very cozy. I strongly suggest for people who are looking for an excellent dining experience in Pompei. The waiter and waitress were very friendly and helpful. They explained everything to us and assisted us to find our way to Pompei Scavi.

As an Asian, I am surprised by the fusion cuisine of Kalma.

We ordered Uovo Marinato for the starter. It was a dish mainly made of eggs. The soft-boiled egg was pickled into soy sauce and some coffee-tasted scent. It was pretty similar to the Tea Egg, which is a typical Chinese cuisine. The meringue made the texture of the pickled egg become lighter and smoother. It is a very interesting combination. If you have never tried Tea Egg, you should try this dish.

The kitchen served our Gnocchetto Melenzane into two separate dishes as we decided to share the pasta. The gnocchetto was cooked with fresh vegetables, including tomato and eggplant. It was a vegetable based dish and has a refreshing flavour. Four out of five.

Ribeyes di Manzo Argentino should be one of the best beef I have ever had. The meat was cooked perfectly. They also provided us with basil and mayo sauce, which made the dish has a richer texture. The spinach also enriched the beef and created a harmonious flavour for it. Strongly recommend this to carnivorous.

For the dessert, we ordered a semifreddo cioccolate and a sweet kalma. The chocolate dessert wasn't my cup of tea. It had a strong bitterness of wine and sour berry. The dark chocolate base was smooth and creamy. However, I don't like alcohol so it is a bit too much for me. My favourite is the sweet kalma. The white cream and the orange jam create a very special taste to the dessert. If you have tried any Vietnam or Indonesia dessert, you can find the similar oriental spices from the kalma. I recommend everyone to try this dessert. The only problem of it is the composition of the crispy crunches and the cream. The crunches could be bigger so that the sweetness could be balanced better.

La cura del cibo, del cliente, della location, della musica in sottofondo e di ogni singolo dettaglio sono davvero unici. Gli azzardi enogastronomici (controllati e studiati MAGISTRALMENTE)rendono indimenticabile questo viaggio.
