Where do I even begin?

We hired Sam for our wedding almost five years ago…
and I still don’t know why it’s taken me this long to say this out loud.

From the moment he walked in, something shifted. He didn’t just photograph us, he made us feel seen. Safe. Warm. Like being in front of a camera was the most natural thing in the world.

It was simple.
It was effortless.
It was… magic.

And now, every month without fail we pull out our wedding photos, and it’s like stepping back into that day again.Every laugh, every tear, every silent glance full of love…
Sam caught them all.

Five years later, those memories haven’t faded. Because Sam made them eternal.

We couldn’t be happier with choosing Sam as our wedding photographer. From start to finish he was a true professional, but also deeply personal and his work reflects that in the most magical way. Sam’s vision really is something special. The way he sees and frames a moment is incredible, and he has this talent for turning even the simplest scenes into pictures that feel timeless. But beyond his talent Sam is just a joy to work with. He listened to all of our ideas, encouraged us to try new things, and was always patient when we suggested something. He made us feel respected, heard, and totally supported. If you want a photographer who’s not only extremely talented but also warm, flexible, and genuinely invested in your story, Sam is your person. We’re endlessly grateful for the beautiful photos and memories he gave us.

Sam captured the most amazing photos for our wedding. Photos that make you wonder “how did he even do that”. His work goes so much further than the clicking of a camera. His own artistic expression was a gift to the entire event. And the professionalism he brought forth before, during, and after the event makes everything very simple to track, purchase, and share. If I could, I would use Sam’s photography skills at every life event.

Sam Hurd was incredible to work with for our engagement photos and wedding photos. Not only were the photos spectacular, my husband and I felt that they captured our personality. Sam was also very professional and great to work with -- I got COVID right before our wedding when we had our engagement photos scheduled and he was able to reschedule us for our photo shoot and turn around the edited photos to us so we could include them in our wedding signage. We also had family drama occur before and after our wedding that Sam was tactfully maneuvered around and we are very grateful that he did an amazing job capturing our special day! Would highly recommend to everyone!

Sam is an absolute talent, and treasure to have in the creative community. His work constantly pushes the boundaries of creativity, and inspires both the subjects he works with, as well as the other photographers who benefit from his educational resources.
