Explore how competing reactions—ammonia oxidation and N₂O/NO₂ by-product formation—impact NH₃-SCR performance over Cu/SSZ-13 and Fe–Cu/SSZ-13. Fixed-bed tests with QMS (Hiden HPR-20) and operando FTIR, supported by DFT/FPT and ¹⁴/¹⁵NH₃ isotopes, show synthesis route controls metal speciation, temperature window and N₂ selectivity, with impregnation-derived Fe–Cu suppressing NH₃ oxidation and cutting N₂O.
