Havana Roots

Havana Roots blends traditional Son Cubano with the irresistible rhythms of Jamaican roots music. This orchestra is known for taking classic Cuban tunes and giving them a fresh, new twist using reggae grooves and the upbeat energy of ska - think of Buena Vista Social Club meets Skatalites! In November 2025 they launched their first 2-sides single featuring “Amor Verdadero” and “El Carretero”. In less than a year the band has sold out venues in Dublin and performed at festivals such as Electric Picnic, Eats & Beats, Fuinneamh Festival, etc. Influences: Buena Vista Social Club, Skatalites, Ska Cubano, Bob Marley, Compay Segundo, Havana Meets Kingston.
