Fiona Kida

Fiona is a Tanzanian American writer-director working as a Writer’s Assistant on Netflix’s TV Show Bridgerton (S3, S4, & S5). She previously worked at Google's Creative Lab in NYC, Bad Robot, Annapurna, NBCUniversal, Meta, and Media Res. As a writer, her screenplays have achieved recognition in several prestigious screenwriting competitions, including being named as a 2024 Finalist at the Nashville Film Festival, a 2025 Semifinalist in BlueCat's Feature Competition, and a Second-Rounder in the 2021 Sundance Development Track. As a director, a short film she directed in high school was nominated for a student Emmy, and her last short, "Blue Hour", placed in 5 festivals and won a 2021 WAVE Grant to be produced. She just juried NFFTY's 2025 Pilot & Short Film competition, and is working on producing/ directing her next short film as she takes out a new TV Pilot out with her manager.
