Embold Project

The Embold Project is a youth-led initiative by high school girls in Baltimore that will empower young Black girls to embrace their natural hair. We plan to partner with local elementary schools to host engaging sessions on natural hair care, self-love, and cultural pride. Activities will include testing hair porosity, exploring heat protection, creating custom products, and styling curly-haired dolls. Each student will receive a free natural hair kit with essentials like shampoo, conditioner, curl gel, satin pillowcases, and more. Inspired by our own hair journeys, we aim to help girls avoid harmful practices and confidently care for their curls.
