What is a Doula? A doula is someone that supports a birthing person in their labor to help ensure a safe birth experience. The support I provide is to encourage women to trust in their bodies and the birth process. I will provide information so you can make informed choices. I do not make medical decisions or perform medical services. I will accompany you and your partner (if present) in labor. I will draw on my knowledge and experience as a doula to provide emotional support, physical comfort, and if need be, communication with the medical staff to make sure that you have all the information that YOU need to make informed decisions.
