Talk About Prolific - LP
Talk About Prolific - LP
This is the 10th album titled Talk About Prolific, this was recorded in Zenxiths house from late November 2023 through till early January 2024, the album cover is a picture from some magazine that I cut out & just stuck it on a blue background, Im pretty sure its 2 Girl Scouts, this album features 14 tracks, all recorded in the bedroom, and the title of this album is me referring to myself. All of the songs on this album use a persistent tambourine aswell as a shaker for the first time, its also rather lofi like the rest of my stuff is. 2 tracks feature female backing vocals from American singer Yvonne Allen which works beautifully with the lead vocal to give a boy girl harmony. This is also the first album I self released on a CD, which has been sold out for some time now. This is issue 1 on Cooling Tower Records! 2026!

Daniel McGee aka Zenxith is a 23 year old prolific independent lofi D.I.Y. indie pop songwriter/musician from the North East of England, who started making music in late 2021, just writing and recording in his bedroom just using a phone & drum loops. Gentle lofi indie pop with jangle melodies & very direct lead lines to accompany the exasperated vocals, no band, no studio, all D.I.Y. & solo. Covered in tambourines & slightly influenced by the late 1970s D.I.Y. post punk era & the 80s indie pop era such as the c86 cassette, however it is pretty distinctive. Zenxith tries to distance himself from the local/modern “scene” as he see it as a total farce, Zenxith also doesn’t play live as he doesn’t have a band. Andrew Burnett from Close Lobsters “Absolutely essential listening”. Zenxith’s main inspirations are Close Lobsters, Television Personalities, The Field Mice, Razorcuts & The Church but it’s mainly Daniel Treacy who inspired him the most to write songs. “Always Be Authentic”
