My son is under the care of Ms. Evann and Ms. Hayden, and we appreciate them both so much. They are excellent therapists who provide not only skilled support but genuine comfort. They work tirelessly to help him reach his goals and consistently identify what methods help him learn in the way that’s best for him. Their dedication has made a meaningful difference in his progress!

Really great staff! My daughter learned so much just in the evaluation. However, I wished they catered more to students who have school during the day. Your kiddo might miss school a lot due to less scheduleling options.

My eleven month-old was experiencing delayed development with his right side.  We started seeing Dana, and ever since, every single week is a wonderful experience!  My baby couldn’t even sit up, and less than six weeks later, he’s pulling himself to stand on his own, grasping with that right side, and crawling!  Dana makes every visit fun, treats my baby as if he were her own with such tenderness and affection, and helps instruct me on exercises to do at home with him to improve his development daily.  The baby room is so clean and open, with padding on the floor for safety.
The facility is beautiful - it’s brand new, clean and spacious, bright and open, and the office staff are marvelous.  They are genuinely friendly and happy to see us when we arrive, which makes my baby so happy!  He even shows excitement when I tell him that we’re “going to see Miss Dana!”
I’ve also seen how they interact with other parents and children and can confidently say that the attention to compassion and competency is consistent.

I have never seen a therapy center where every therapist truly gives 110%. Therapy Smarts has been absolutely life-changing for my son. He has been attending for about a year now, and the progress he’s made is incredible.

I am beyond grateful for the dedication that CEO Avani has poured into this place—it truly shows in the care and culture. Therapists Hunter, Kiara, Hannah P., Hayden, Hannah R and Lily have all worked with my son, and each one has gone above and beyond. My 6-year-old needed a speech therapist, so after doing thorough research and reading great reviews, I chose Therapy Smarts in Durham. I was genuinely excited for my son’s appointment.
When we arrived, the receptionist was on the phone. I assumed once she finished, she would greet us or explain the check-in process. Unfortunately, after ending her call, there was no greeting or acknowledgment at all. I only realized I needed to check in because I noticed the iPad myself. That experience was off-putting and immediately made me reconsider whether this was the right place.
A few moments later, Kendall—the speech therapist who evaluated my son—came out, and everything changed. Her warm welcome, positive energy, and patience instantly put both me at ease. She was absolutely wonderful with him, and he felt very comfortable during the session. Her professionalism and kindness truly stood out.
Overall, I would recommend Therapy Smarts because of the quality of care and therapists like Kendall. However, I’m giving 3 stars due to the initial front-desk experience. First impressions matter, and a welcoming environment starts at the front desk. In a world that could use more kindness, I hope the receptionist can take a page from Kendall’s approach 😊

My son Charlie absolutely loves miss, Hannah P we definitely see the change in our son and appreciate all the time she has put in with him great job Hannah !!!!

We have had the best experience with Therapy Smarts. My daughter has seen amazing change and growth since starting OT with Mrs. Nat. She doesn’t realize she is doing “work” but looks forward to her time to “play” each week. I know the skills she is learning are setting her up for success and as I parent, I have felt supported to help her at home as well. Highly recommend!

Speech Evaluation Team was wonderful. Down hill & lack of communication & follow through there after.

Our son has OT with Macie, he looks forward to every session with her. His favorite part is the big gym, he is learning through play…but for him the focus is the fun!

The staff are not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable and patient. My child has been seeing Speech Pathologist Glendaly and we have seen great improvement. He truly loves visiting the office every week, he really looks forward to it 😊. They take the time to understand individual needs and tailor their approach to ensure the best outcomes while also making sure your child has fun. It’s clear that creating a supportive and encouraging environment is a top priority here. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for compassionate and effective speech therapy services.
