Horse hair raku pottery is a special and unique process. Due to the pieces not being vitrified or coated in glaze, the pieces can not hold water. These are decorative pieces not meant for food or water. 

When cleaning your pieces, use a soft cloth or brush to get off any dust. Avoid using water or cleaning solution, as it could smear the carbon that was left by the horse hair. While a little bit of water getting onto the piece won't ruin it entirely, please be mindful and avoid water to ensure the longevity of your pottery.
