Is A Refined & Structured Resume Necessary?
Think of your resume as your "second impression." That first impression starts when you walk into your potential employer's office and hand them your resume or email it to them. From there, they use that paper to define who you are to them. Resumes are important! They remind employers of if your fit for the position, why they should consider you, and what their return investment on you may be; however, studies show employers only look at a resume for about 7.4 seconds if your resume is not "appealing." (LinkedIn.com, Reagan.) Resumes that are formatted well, easy to read, but still appealing hold recruiters' attention for 30 seconds to over a minute! So yes, having a proficient resume is important because it will impact if you will be considered for the job.
