Experiencing Yosemite âAloneâ: The Solo Walk
Experiencing Yosemite âAloneâ: The Solo Walk
When NatureBridge students arrive in Yosemite National Park with their peers, the excitement is instantâshared discoveries, group hikes, laughter echoing between granite walls. But one of the most powerful ways to connect with a place is by stepping away from the group and taking a moment alone. Yosemite belongs to everyone, and in solitude, it can feel like it belongs just to you.

In 1971, our mission to connect young people to the wonder and science of the natural world, igniting self-discovery and inspiring stewardship of our planet, was born in Yosemite National Park. In the decades since, NatureBridge has connected more than 1.5 million participants to our national parks. When did your journey with NatureBridge begin? Why is our mission to connect all young people to the wonder of the natural world important to you? What did your NatureBridge experience look like in pictures? How did it make you feel, and how did it impact your life? Help us showcase the transformative history of NatureBridge by sharing your anecdotes, snapshots and stories of growth with us on social media (tag us @naturebridge) or at communications@naturebridge.org.
