Tuesdays at the Legislature is NCNA’s weekly, hands-on advocacy opportunity for nurses and APRNs. Volunteers gather at the Raleigh Legislative Building from 10am–12pm for a short training, then go together in small, led groups to talk with lawmakers and staff about the importance of APRN Full Practice Authority. Passing the APRN Full Practice Authority bill (H 514/S 537), introduced with 65 bipartisan co-sponsors, will modernize regulations for Nurse Practitioners, Certified Nurse Midwives, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, and Clinical Nurse Specialists, making North Carolina the 28th state to do so. Now is the time for NCNA members and North Carolina nurses to make their voices heard and urge their legislators to support the bill and pass it - once and for all.
