The Mediterranean Platform is a research, dialogue, and educational programme at the School of Government, Luiss Guido Carli. The Platform aims to nurture a deeper understanding of the region by offering insights into the complex transformation of societies and polities and by addressing long-term trends and dynamics. It builds upon innovative, rigorous and policy-relevant field-based research and active collaborations with researchers, practitioners and policymakers from across the region.

Our new Mediterranean Platform website is currently under development. The Mediterranean Platform is a research, dialogue, and educational initiative dedicated to examining the region’s evolving political, socio-economic, and security dynamics. We provide a space for collective reflection on Mediterranean transformations, foster informed debate, and support evidence-based policymaking across national and transnational levels. Our work spans regional geopolitics and diplomacy, the political economy of natural resources, energy transition, climate change, and long-term scenario building.
