I was paralyzed in a tragic car accident at the age of 18. In 2009, I founded NextStep Orlando Paralysis Recovery Center, a non-profit organization. I aspire to show the world that people with disabilities can still live full-filled lives and advocate for accessibility and inclusivity!

Pressure Sore Survey
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Do you have a pressure sore? For too long medical providers have made individuals with spinal cord injuries believe that a pressure sore is unavoidable. That is false. When medical providers follow the national standards of care, pressure sores are avoidable in hospitals and nursing homes. We are working to advocate and educate the spinal cord injury community that this serious secondary condition is avoidable and if you receive a pressure sore while in a medical setting you may be entitled to damages for your injuries. Thank you for being a part of the movement to hold hospitals and healthcare providers accountable, and for creating better outcomes for the spinal cord injury community. We are STRONGER TOGETHER!
