Vor fünfzig Jahren gründeten acht Fotografen und Fotografinnen in Charkiw eine inoffizielle „Schule“, als Reaktion auf das Dogma des sozialistischen Realismus. Auf Initiative von Sergiy Lebedynsky, sollte sie in seiner Heimatstadt mit einem Museum gewürdigt werden. Während die russischen Angriffe die Eröffnung lange verzögerten, erweckt dieses Porträt einer sich nunmehr im Krieg befindlichen Künstlerfamilie die Bilder zum Leben – über drei Generationen hinweg.
