Starting in 2021, residential rental units built before 1978 will require Lead Safe Certification. It is a proven, low-cost approach to prevent lead poisoning.

Screening and Testing
Children do not show immediate signs or symptoms of lead poisoning. The only way to know if a child has elevated lead levels is to do a blood lead test.
