What kind of exams do you offer? I offer initial and renewal exams. You can also choose between a "Level 4 only exam" or a "Level 4-6 open exam". What is the difference between "Level 4 only" and "Level 4-6 open exam"? In a "Level 4 only" exam you can only reach Level 4 even if your English skills are actually a Level 5 or 6. In a "Level 4-6 open exam" you can reach every level from 4 to 6 depending on your English skills. A "Level 4 only" exam is cheaper than the "Level 4-6 open exam". How much does it cost? Price in brackets: for members of LSV Vilshofen or Landshut Level 4 only: 149€ (140€) Level 4-6 open exam: 249€ (225€) How can I pay the fee? You can pay via PayPal or bank transfer. Do you offer face to face exams or only online exams? In some cases we can also do a local, face to face exam. Just contact me! :) I'm a student pilot/helicopter pilot/commercial pilot/ground staff/... - is the exam the same? The questions will be adapted based on your aeronautical background.

What do I have to prepare for the exam? After scheduling an exam you'll receive an e-mail with all the information. You'll be asked to send me a scan of your ID and your pilot's license (if you already have one). The exam will be audio-recorded (a 2nd examiner will listen to it) so please also sign the provided DSGVO sheet. For the exam itself you'll just need: your ID, a pen+paper, a stable internet connection and a quiet surrounding. What will be assessed? Is the ICAO Standard Phraseology also part of the exam? Structure, vocabulary, pronunciation, fluency, interaction and comprehension will be assessed. Technical knowledge is not needed but sometimes it can be useful to know some aeronautical terms. ICAO standard phraseology is also part of the exam (ATC calls/readback). When will I receive my certificate? Is it accepted in Germany/Austria/...? Usually, you'll receive your certificate within 48h and all EASA countries should accept it.
