In 2015, Illinois became the first state to pass an anti-BDS law, a direct result of Netanyahu's $25.5 M dollar effort to activate AIPAC to pass legislation to stop boycotts, sanctions, and divestment in the Israeli government. As the home state of AIPAC, Illinois has long been ground zero for their influence—but that influence is waning. Americans on both sides of the aisle are tired of a foreign lobby dictating our policy. AIPAC knows their power is slipping, and they are fighting fiercely to protect this legislation against our repeal effort. We are on the frontlines of the fight to break AIPAC’s grip on American policy. This form is for volunteers interested in participating in in-person lobby days in Springfield with The Justice Coalition Action and our Illinois Coalition for Human Rights (ICHR) partners to advocate for the repeal of Illinois’s anti-BDS law. Volunteers will engage directly with legislators and their staff as part of coordinated, coalition-led advocacy efforts. Training, messaging guidance, and logistical details will be provided in advance of lobby days. By signing up, you are expressing interest in disciplined, collective advocacy grounded in human rights, free speech, and constitutional protections.
