We are Goldfish Smarts; a musical indulgence based in Manly on Sydney’s northern beaches. Borne and Bored of rock cover bands and with the desire to create original music, we are six guys, arguably past our prime (or maybe not arguably), but dedicated nonetheless to making sleek tunes that embody how we’re feeling about ourselves and the world around us. For us, it's about developing thoughts, lining up words, joining up beats and melodies, and crafting them into songs. We like to think our songs suit a summer afternoon, a speaker on the back deck with friends, a couple of beers on the table and the barbecue sizzling in time with the hi hat. “Between Moonlight & the Music Shed” is our latest release, recorded variously at the legendary Northern Beaches Moonlight Studios and at the band’s new hideaway, affectionately known as ‘The Music Shed’.
