The Feminist Library is a large archive collection of feminist literature, particularly Women’s Liberation Movement materials dating from the late 1960s to the 1990s. We support research, activist and community projects in this field.The Library is also an autonomous feminist community space. The Library is trans-inclusive, welcomes visitors of any gender, does not require registration or membership, and provides an intersectional, non-sectarian space for the exploration of feminism.The Feminist Library is a registered charity 1174735 (formerly 272410)Company no. The bookshop of London's Feminist Library. Founded in 1975, the Feminist Library is a growing archive of materials relating to feminism, led by a collective of volunteers. The Library is also an intersectional community space, which welcomes visitors of all genders. The Feminist Library Bookshop is run by volunteers and sells a range of books, zines and merchandise, with all proceeds going to support the Library. Please note, stock on bookshop.org is different to the physical stock we hold in the Bookshop.

Thank you for interest in The Feminist Library's Black Feminist Reading Group 📚✊🏿 This space prioritises Black people and People of Colour to come together to learn, share, grow and build community through Black Feminist Scholarship. If you're interested in attending please fill out this form so that information regarding each session can be sent to you. All sessions will take place at the The Feminist Library, Sojourner Truth Community Centre, 161 Sumner Road, SE15 6JL. Next session is on Tuesday 20th January, 2026 from 6:30 - 8 pm.
