About me
Cindy Santa is a Calgary-based multidisciplinary Cree Indigenous artist who has practiced in glassblowing, airbrushing, sketchings, bronze pouring, and welding, sculpture and painting. Cindy was born in Canmore AB, grew up in Snow Lake MB and now resides in Calgary AB. She graduated from the Alberta University of the Arts in 2013 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in sculpture. Cindy is a Mother, a Daughter, and a sister. Cindy uses her art as an emotional release and is an expression of her life and struggle with an incurable illness– Lupus. Black wolves are prevalent in her art as a representation of her spirit guide and protector, the Black Wolf, who is always by her side. An Eagle has joined the pack along with a small Mouse as protectors and spirit guides.
