Current Action

The GVP subcommittee is committed to preventing future acts of gun violence. Right now, Congress is considering legislation that would impose a Federal Concealed Carry Mandate, forcing every state to recognize concealed carry permits from every other state—including those with weak or no standards at all. This legislation puts all of our communities at risk and would make it harder to keep guns out of places like office buildings, houses of worship, schools, and public gatherings.
