Goal To examine the health impacts of economic abuse and technology-facilitated gender-based violence on women and girls, and to equip medical and health professionals with practical solutions, tools, and cross-sector strategies to identify, respond to, and prevent these harms while advancing survivor safety and long-term well-being. Objectives Highlight the direct and long-term physical and mental health impacts of economic abuse and digital financial control Strengthen the role of medical professionals in identifying and responding to economic and technology-facilitated abuse Explore how financial stress, coercion, and digital surveillance affect chronic disease, mental health, and access to care Present practical screening, referral, and clinical response tools for healthcare settings Promote cross-sector collaboration between health systems, financial institutions, and GBV services Advance policy and clinical solutions that integrate economic safety into health responses
